The conference was the first Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle conference in Canada. It served as a catalyst to stimulate the development of PHEV research, technology development, demonstrations and commercialization of PHEV vehicles across the country and in cooperation with US partners. Electric vehicle technology innovators, researchers, businesses and government agencies gathered in Winnipeg to focus on Canadian opportunities in this emerging field.
